Day 4 Wagga to Albury

Today's ride was a long 140 km. There were undulations, gentle hills and side winds, which made it challenging at times, but generally it was an easy and enjoyable one.

We left Wagga Wagga at 7.30 am, finding some of the members of Legacy on either side of the street, waving us farewell.

Our first stop was at The Rock, a lovely little town where we had morning tea and just relaxed for a while. The weather Gods, again, excelled themselves, giving us a fantastic run to Albury. Second stop at Henty and then lunch at Gerogery. Going through these picturesque towns, makes a ride that could have been somewhat tedious, much nicer and bearable.

One of our riders, going by the nickname "Burnsy", decided to spice things up by wearing a very interesting piece of head gear. See photo below. I think he knew things weren't going to be very smooth the following day. We all knew we were going to run out of good fortune, and the formidable weather we had been having, was coming to an end.

We got to Albury in good time. As it happens, Legacy House was right next door to our accommodation, so some of the members, kindly helped us with offloading the luggage and put everything together, to make things easier for our riders.

After a couple of hours of fixing bikes, showers and a drink, we moved next door for dinner, supplied by Legacy House. It was a fantastic effort and we need to thank Bob Mahaffey for the organisation of it. Again, Legacy went out of their way to help us with everything we needed.
They very kindly offered us the use of their dining room and kitchens for our breakfast the following day at 6 am, they mingled with us, showed us the easiest way to get out of Albury, and generally just being wonderful hosts.
The ride to Shepparton tomorrow is going to be hard. There is rain predicted and we have to cover a distance of 170 km.
In the meantime, here are some photos of the ride:
