The ride was well orchestrated and without incident.
We stopped for lunch at this lovely town called Harden and we got to meet two charming Legacy members, Bob and Judy -whom, we were told, have been married for 50 years- and had a wonderful chat with them. They stayed with us throughout lunch and told us stories about the work they do to look after those who need it.
After we said farewell to Harden, the Group rode to Cootamundra, about 40 km away. A few hills and crests gave the Riders a good workout.
We had a police escort into town and then they rode to meet with Mark, the President of the Cycling Association in the town, and the Mayor, who graciously welcomed us and gave us a cheque to add to the fundraising. Mark also gave us some donations he collected from the friendly people of Cootamundra.
After wishing us a good and safe rest of the Tour, the Group went back to the accommodation, where they had a dip in the very cold pool, but was a welcome relief for their tired legs.
All in all, it was a great ride.
The total funds raised to date stand at well over $94,000. Not only people are kindly donating to the Tour's Legacy page, but we are getting donations from total strangers, after we tell them what our aim is.
Now, for some photographs of the day's ride.
